Armored Core: Brave New World

A hollow, metallic sound rang throughout the garage.

Mizuki whipped out the handgun from her holster, and Milky ducked down.

The sound of a safety mechanism reverbed against the open end of the gun's muzzle.

"Come out, or I'll shoot!"

"My apologies. The key was left open, you see."

From the shadow of the maintenance equipment, came a man with both hands raised.

"Who are you?"

Armored Core: Brave New World is a novel authored by Junichi Kamino and published by ASCII Media Works under the Dengeki Hobby Books brand in 2008.

What's it about? Umm, something something conspiracy something Mizuki something something teaming up with Milky, the daughter of her dead mentor, forming the something something Raven duo "Double Heart," plus something Asuma, a former Raven-now-mechanic who worked with Milky's father as well, something something heading closer to the truth of the world something something yuri yuri omurice girlprince popcorn yuri.

I think it's always neat when Fromsoftware has cool girls at the forefront of their works, so I wanted to purchase a copy and scan it! Few months later, here we are! Before I get any farther, here's the link to the scans on Google Drive.

The PDF contains over 300 smackin pages of writing, illustrations, and a glossary at the end. I think there's like one page accidentally duplicated in there that I was like "eh oh well," otherwise if you see any errors please feel free to let me know.

Also, the PDF is already reallllly big, so I've collected all the colour scans and rescanned chapter illustrations over here. The colour scans are 200 dpi jpeg, chapter illustrations in 300 dpi png. They're still really nice though. I swear. I have seen some of the chapter illustrations are in full colour on the internet, but they're all black and white here. I did colour one in for fun though, near the beginning of the PDF. Hehe!

Now, this is a disclaimer, as I'm usually known for this (hee hee), but I will not be translating Armored Core: Brave New World.

Or at least, at the rate I'm going with Fromsoftware novels, I won't have time to translate it for the next 10 years... Haha... There is virtually zero furigana (save for gikun), and many of the terms are very Armored Core-y. AKA things I don't know because I played the first AC for 30 minutes and then got stressed out. If you want to take on the task of translation, please let me know what I can do to help! And please tell me how yuri Mizuki and Milky get. Please. Even if it ends up being yuribait.

...And if this book is already scanned and translated and I didn't know, I'm just gonna lie down.
