Languages I speak
Cantonese! 廣東話係我母語。讀寫講都得!
English, also my mother tongue
French (enough for DELF B1 i suppose...)
Japanese, two semesters in high school! haha
So I can also read basic Chinese and
struggle through a Japanese novel... lol
Games I like
In terms of companies, I like the game series that Nintendo and Fromsoftware put out. In terms of genres, I love rhythm, action RPGs, platformers, logic puzzles, and RPG Maker-esque arty stuffs.
I also love watching longplays of horror games, kusoge, arcade rail shooters, and whatever else weird stuff tickles my fancy.
As for the actual LIST of games I like, it would be far too big to fit onto a flexbox, so you might as well just hit me up and I'll respond with yes or no. Maybe one day I'll add it...
Music I like
These past few years, I've been really into 90s-2000s era popular Japanese music. That defintely includes anisongs, J-pop, but also videogame music, techno/trance electronic music, and new age.
In terms of people, I really like RYTHEM, Spitz, Masami Okui, KOTOKO, all of I've Sound's utahimes to be honest, Melocure (and Ritsuko Okazaki for sure), Chieko Yonekura, Chiaki Ishikawa, See-Saw/FictionJunction/Yuki Kajiura, and all the vocal tracks that the Di Gi Charat girlies have.
Of course, when I say I've Sound, I love Kazuya Takase's compositions. He and Kota Hoshino (of Fromsoftware) are my favourite electronic guys. And if I mention Kota Hoshino, I of course have to mention FreQuency! My favourite videogame company in-house electronic music band. In a similar vein, I like PinocchioP and Sasakure.uk as Vocaloid composers.
As someone who also grew up with Cantopop, I of course have to mention Beyond as my favourite band! I also like the mainstream oldies such as Jacky Cheung, Priscilla Chan, Andy Lau, Anita Mui, Eason Chan, and probably way more I can't recall. Leslie Cheung and Anthony Wong Yiu-ming are my LGBTQ icons.
